Go Kart Parts

Go-kart parts include such things as the chassis, engine, and transmission elements. The chassis is basically the frame of the machine. It is comprised of a steel tube and must be both flexible enough to provide suspension and stiff enough that it does not break or give while turning.

Engines are very integral go-kart parts. The right option may vary according to the intended application of the vehicle. For instance, either 4-stroke engines or electric motors may be used to power amusement park karts. Those intended for racing will use either small 2-stroke or 4-stroke engines.

While go-kart parts take inspiration from larger vehicles, these machines are missing things commonly found in their larger counterparts. As far as the transmission goes, there is no differential. Instead, the chassis is designed to allow the sliding of one rear tire. A chain is used to get the power from the engine to the rear axle.
