Racing Karts
Racing carts are small, four-wheeled vehicles which may
be referred to by different names depending on the design. Go-karts
are commonly found at fairs and amusement parts. Gearbox karts are the
only ones used in long circuit outdoor racing.
The different racing carts available will vary according to their speed
ranges. For instance, some can travel at more than 160 miles per hour.
These are known as Superkarts. On the other hand, many of the go-karts
used at amusement parks are limited to a speed below fifteen miles per
hour.
Racing carts designed for amusement parks may be powered by electric
motors. These are low maintenance and generally require only the recharging
of lead-acid batteries after each run. 4-stroke engines may also be
used at such parks. Both 4- and 2-stroke engines may be used when it
comes to sport racing.
